We will be using GroupMe as our primary means of communication. I will send an invitation to join our GroupMe chat group to your phone number or you can scan the QR code at Parent Orientation. GroupMe is an app that you can download to your phone. This will be the place where we will share photos, videos, fliers and information about our class and school. If you would like to add another family member to the group you are welcome to do so. You can also join the group by clicking the link below.

School lunches (and breakfast) are free for all students. You can find the monthly menus here: School Menus
PreK is the first grade level to eat lunch from 10:30-11:00. Parents or guardians are welcome to eat with students any day you would like. They LOVE it when we have visitors!
Can I Pack a Lunch For My Child?
Yes! You may definitely pack a lunch for your child. We just ask that you don’t pack it full of sugary sweets. We are also not allowed to heat anything up for students.
Can I Send Milk or Juice In My Child's Water Bottle?
No. The water bottle will sit on a cart so there is no refrigeration. Plus, they get spilled, and water is much easier to clean up. That is also why we prefer a reusable bottle with some sort of spout type lid that they don’t have to take on and off.
Do Students Have Snack Time?
Yes, we do. Our snack time is right before our rest time around 1:00. Parents are responsible for sending snacks. If you would like to donate extra snacks for students who forget them that would be great! Please make sure your child knows the difference between their snack and their lunch.
Please put these in writing so we can let the nurse and cafeteria staff know. It is also good to have on hand in case a sub is working in our place.ent-Parent Information GuideStudent-Parent Information Guide
Can I Send Wet Wipes To Help My Child With Toileting?
Yes, but they need to be the flushable kind, and the child has to do it themselves. Teachers are not allowed to help a student wipe.t-Parent Information GuideStudent-Parent Information Guide
Do You Have Nap Time And Are Students Required To Sleep?
We do have what we call rest time. I know that not all children take a nap at this age. That is perfectly fine. We understand that – but we do require that they lie quietly on their cot for 20-30 minutes just to allow their bodies and minds a time to rest. After that they get to choose a Quiet Bag that has things to occupy them on their cots while their friends sleep.Parent Information GuideStudent-Parent Information Guide
Once students are accepted into the Pre-K program, daily attendance is mandatory. We follow the attendance policy as identified in the Pre-K parent partnership agreement.
If your student is absent please send in an excuse with your child or drop it off at the front office.
For more information on the Attendance Policy, please see the Student Parent Information Guide.tudent-Parent Information GuideStudent-Parent Information Guide
Does The School Have After School Care?
We do! It is program offered through Alpha Best. We usually have 3-4 PreK students who go. The front office can give you more information on that.udent-Parent Information GuideStudent-Parent Information Guide
Can I Visit The Classroom?
Of course you can! We would love to have family come in to read to the class, they love that! We also occasionally need help if we are doing a particularly messy science or art activity. You can come to our class parties and eat lunch with us as well.
